The Story

For over 2 decades, John has been teaching English mostly to national and multinational organisations in 4 different countries always employed by very small, specialised schools.
In many cases, the school was run by couples of which he, native speaker teaching and she, German being in charge of organization and customer relations. 
As a freelance English trainer, John brought success to every school by generating more classes with every client and securing long term courses. His training was well recognized and highly in demand. 

Anette used to say already then: ‘We should open a school – you as the trainer and me in the background.’
We knew already then that Anette would run a perfect organization, as she runs her work projects with ambition for perfection. Whatever job Anette does, it involves long hours, high pressure, and big commitment. Ultimately working in fashion was her dream career.

The death of Anette’s mother in 2016 was the trigger for a review of life, of where we have been and of where we want to go. It was clear that we do not need much to be happy, a home, a base with friends and family and work that is inspiring and satisfying.

It was time for a big change in life and work. 

2017 We moved to Schwenningen, Anette’s hometown, into our house to start the school about which we have been contemplating for years.  Villingen- Schwenningen is logistically ideally located, near to a motorway allowing all sorts of industries to be reached within no time. Various school of higher education are located in and around the town.

After the move, we started to develop the concept and the website. We knew, it was right, but we could not pin it down at the time.
When Anette got a job offered near Rosenheim, the idea of opening our own school was parked.
I continued to work on a freelance basis and Anette was away most of the time to develop more garments and ensure their quality in production.
3.5 Years later after Corona and long distance relationships, we have picked up all the preparation and thoughts from the parking lot, refined and newly defined it all.

Here we are – happy to launch, Creative English Training, bringing all of John’s experience to the table, happy and anxious to develop it even further with existing and new clients. Anette providing the necessary back-office organization.
